Georgia Welch has been part of KDA since 2014 and, in her current capacity, works as a professional accounting staff. She is married with four school-aged children and has lived in Granbury since 2009. Georgia graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in May 2016. She received her Master of Accounting from Tarleton State University in December 2017. She was licensed as a CPA by the State of Texas in September 2019.
One of Georgia’s strengths is her commitment to developing one-on-one relationships with our clients, helping them navigate the processes necessary to solve their accounting problems. She sees her work in public accounting, working with small businesses, as a deep calling. She feels her role is to partner with clients, using her skills to help business owners be successful. Georgia understands very well people don’t go into business to worry about accounting processes and tax rules and wants to help business owners focus on their vision for success. Not payroll taxes, depreciation, and reconciliations: the nuts and bolts of operations. When these compulsory items are handled expertly, a business owner’s mind is free to dream and be inspired.
Some of Georgia’s experiences for our clients include both comprehensive bookkeeping and review of bookkeeping work; QuickBooks file setup; payroll setup and processing including specialized items for small business owners; federal payroll tax and state unemployment reporting; sales tax reporting; and financial statement preparation and review. She also prepares federal tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, and non-profit. She is tireless in her efforts to exceed client expectations.
Georgia loves Cajun food (especially crawfish), chips, and salsa, and she loves the beach or just being outside with friends and family.
